> Barcelona wins La Liga on goal difference over Atletico Madrid, with Real Madrid finishing 2 points behind. Atletico lost to Barcelona on the final day of the season, which game Real Madrid a chance to win the league with a win over Valencia, but they lost 1-0 to Valencia.

> Inter wins the Serie A in a very close title race. Inter finishes with 76 points, Atalanta comes 2nd on 73 points, Udinese finishes 3rd with 72, and Lazio comes 4th on 72. Torino bounces back and comes in 8th, Napoli comes 12th, Pescara finishes all the way down in 13th.
> Hamburg wins the Bundesliga for the 3rd straight season, finishing with 7 more points than Leipzig in 2nd. Dortmund bounces back by finishing 6th, Leverkusen gets promoted
> Monaco wins Ligue 1 by 3 points over Lyon. Angers SCO bounces back by coming in 4th, Montpellier falls to 7th.
> Australia had the best World Cup run so far. They beat Scotland, Ecuador, and Croatia to get to the semi-finals against Portugal, who they somehow beat 1-0. However, in the final, they got destroyed 5-0 by a Spain team who only allowed 2 goals all tournament.
